LeadingAge Minnesota Foundation has awarded a two year, $25,000 Workforce Solutions grant to Bigfork Valley Senior Services.
The grant will be used for leadership development with Dr. Linda Shell, MA, RN, the creator of SurTHRIVELeadership, a curriculum which focuses on building resilient leaders and enhancing the elder experience in long term care. Skills learned will be used in the workplace to build strong care teams.
“We are delighted to receive this grant that will help all our senior services employees toward their own goals of personal excellence as well as enhancing our workplace environment and care for our elders,” said Julie Gerzin, director of senior services at Bigfork Valley.
Funding for the Workforce Solutions grant is through the Margaret A. Cargill Foundation and is directed toward rural Minnesota. LeadingAge Minnesota Foundation is part of an organization representing over 50,000 caregivers to the elder community within the state.
