Location

Ideally situated on the Big Fork River, the Twin Homes are located in the lakes and pines 4-season recreation area of northern Itasca County, Minnesota. Bigfork lies on the Edge of the Wilderness National Scenic Byway just 40 miles north of Grand Rapids, and 80 miles south of International Falls.

Nearby are the Chippewa National Forest, Scenic State Park, a network of snowmobile trails, canoe routes that travel north to the Rainy River and a 9-hole golf course. A 280-seat performance arts theater is just a couple of blocks away, hosting events throughout the year. An arts gallery attached to the theater is open four days a week with new monthly exhibits between April and November each year.

The community of Bigfork has small-town charm with basic shopping; dining; churches; and fire, police and ambulance services. A municipal airport lies just north of town. There are many scenic walks available, and a River Walk non-motorized walking trail is planned within a few years.
