Health Care is a Local Affair

Bigfork, September 13, 2018. Bigfork Valley Hospital is making health care a local affair by participating in the Office of Rural Health- Community Health Services Development process. This process includes various community engagement activities which includes the assembly of a community steering community comprised of local leaders organized with the task of identifying local health care needs and establishing health care priorities. Selected community members in the Bigfork Valley hospital district and service area have also received a survey form in their mailbox. This survey, sent to a random sample of homes, will help Bigfork Valley identify the health services needed in the community. The purpose of the survey is to obtain information from a wide range of participants to assist in planning programs, services and identifying community health and wellness needs. If you have received this survey in your mailbox, your response will represent others in the community, so it is very important that you complete and return the survey by the survey due date on October 5, 2018.

“Having health care services available locally is crucial to the safety, health, and economic well-being of our community,” replied Aaron Saude, hospital CEO. “Gaining insight from our community members will help determine our focus for the upcoming year and I encourage those who have received the survey to respond,” said Saude.
