Bigfork Valley Lunch Series: 911 Medical Emergency!

It’s a medical emergency!  You call 911…then what?

Come to the September Ten Topics community lunch series, 11:45 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 27 at Bigfork Valley to explore what happens before, during and after a 911 call.  The program will be in the boardroom, lunch is included.

Susie Schmickle, paramedic and Emergency Medical Services educator for over 20 years with the Bigfork Ambulance Service Association, will describe the signs and symptoms of some of the most common emergencies like heart attack, stroke and diabetic emergencies.  She will follow through what happens on the other end of your 911 call and what information you should be prepared to provide.  She will also discuss some things that you can do while waiting for help to arrive.

Currently working as a volunteer paramedic in the Emergency Department at Bigfork Valley, Schmickle is a member of BASA and an EMS educator teaching both pre-hospital and emergency department providers.

Join us for this informative program, no RSVP is necessary.
