Back to School Mask Drive
As the school year approaches, you can help our kids get back to school safely by contributing to our community’s supply of face coverings. Click here for back to school facemask instructions.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) & Homemade Facemasks
We are overwhelmed by the generosity of our community. We want to extend a thank you to all those who have donated Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to help keep our workers safe.
We continue to accept donations, including homemade fabric facemasks. MDH has developed guidance and video instruction for making fabric masks. If you would like to donate, we ask that you include your name and contact information and drop off outside the main entrance of the hospital Monday-Friday 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Thank you for your continued support.
Bigfork Valley Community Foundation has established two funds to address COVID-19 issues in our giving area.
- A Bigfork Valley Hospital response fund to meet the emerging COVID-19 needs of Bigfork Valley Hospital. Please see the statement from Bigfork Valley Hospital below,
- A community response fund for COVID-19 where funds coming in will be directly distributed to assist organizations that serve our area to meet the hardships experienced by individuals, families, and others.
Statement from Bigfork Valley Hospital: Bigfork Valley is actively responding to the COVID-19 pandemic. We are obtaining as much protective equipment and supplies as we can gather to protect our staff in this situation. We are working to transform spaces within our facility to respond to a surge of COVID-19 patients. We have postponed elective surgeries and reduced services and appointments in an effort to limit traffic and reduce the potential for transmission to our staff and community. These efforts have resulted in increased expenses and decreased revenue which is challenging our financial operations. We are exploring every possible option to ensure that we are here when our community needs us most.
These funds are specifically set up for those that want to give to offset issues and needs resulting from COVID-19 and are in addition to our other giving opportunities for the community and Bigfork Valley Hospital.
