Bigfork Valley Auxiliary awards scholarships

Vanessa Koppelmann, daughter of Vance and Linda Koppelmann of Bigfork, and Tyler Waller, son of Wes and Sharon Waller of Northome, are the recipients of the Bigfork Valley Hospital Auxiliary Grants for the 2006-2007 school year. Vanessa is enrolled in the Medical Lab Technician program at Hibbing Community College and Tyler is enrolled in the College of Pharmacy at North Dakota State University.

Each year the Auxiliary offers two renewable $3,000 grants to qualified persons enrolled in certified medical programs. The Auxiliary's goal is two-fold: to offer financial aid to local students and to help ensure qualified staff for our facilities.

Monies for the scholarship program are raised each year through the Arts and Crafts Fair held on the first Friday of August. Bigfork Valley provides matching funds.
