Karen Campbell joins Bigfork Valley

Bigfork Valley is pleased to welcome Karen Campbell to its health care campus as controller.

Campbell comes to Bigfork Valley from Itasca County Health and Human Services, where she was director of IMCare for ten years. IMCare is a county health maintenance organization serving medical assistance, general assistance and Minnesota Care clients in Itasca and parts of Cass, Koochiching and Aitkin counties.

“It felt like it was a homecoming,” said Campbell, who returns to a facility where she was business manager in the late 1980s. It’s an exciting return, she said, to a vibrant, growing facility that has added services and buildings since that time.

As controller, Campbell will supervise the Business Office, Health Information Systems, Fiscal Services, Materials Management, Information Systems, Human Resources and Dietary departments. These departments will become increasingly important, she pointed out, as Bigfork Valley increases its technological capabilities in improving patient services.
