Wish lists
The generosity of the community allows Bigfork Valley Villa and Communities to offer their residents some extra things to enjoy, and donations of “wish list” items in good condition or funds targeted for special needs are gladly accepted.
There are several funds which are set up to receive monetary donations for landscaping and life enhancing projects such as bus transport for special events. There have also been donations which have made a big difference in resident lives, such as therapeutic dolls and bingo prizes, said Bigfork Valley Communities activity coordinator Laurel Laudert.
And sometimes a day may be made brighter by just a little thing, like ice cream or pie for the residents.
Monies donated through the hospital auxiliary provide a number of both large and small items; for instance the auxiliary subscribed to the magazine Reminisce for residents of the Communities and the organization has purchased lift chairs to be used where needed.
Like to help, but don’t know what to do? Here are some items currently on the “wish list.”
