CNAs

Summary of Job Description: Cares for elders following the Bigfork Valley philosophies with skill, compassion and respect. Provides social, physical and medical care that enables elders to live their lives to the fullest. Supports elders in self-care and provides care as necessary for those unable to care for themselves. Supports the elder’s physical and social household environment, following the elder’s preferences. Maintains appropriate documentation and notifies nursing staff/manager of changing needs and conditions of elders. Provides restorative therapy under the leadership of therapy professionals. Follows proper infection control, sanitation and safety practices. Has good interpersonal skills, is able to deal with unexpected events, is consistently at work and on time.

Qualifications: CNA certificate or class enrollment required. Must meet all federal and state regulatory requirements to maintain certification and active registry as CNA, including 12 CEUs per year and participation in mandatory in-service and any departmental education. High school diploma or GED preferred.

Cook

Casual position.

Summary of Job Description: Prepares large quantities of food for patients, residents, employees and visitors using various appliances and following governmental regulations in meal preparation. Prepares individual meals for patients with diet plans. Washes and cleans appliances and cooking areas. Meets schedules. May order, receive and store supplies. Maintains security. Exhibits a professional courteous manner and follows instructions.

Qualifications: High school or GED required, six months experience with hospital therapeutic diets required within last three years. Certified Nursing Assistant certification preferred.

Licensed Practical Nurse - Home Care

Full time position.

Summary of Job Description: This position will support our Home Care division. Successful candidates will be outgoing, dependable and deliver compassionate care with seniors. Responsibilities will include providing resident care based on individual service/care plans adhering to state, federal, and local laws/regulations.

Qualifications: Diploma from an accredited school of nursing. Meet the regulatory requirements for licensure as practical nurse in the state of Minnesota. Current registration with the Minnesota Board of Nursing.


Licensed Practical Nurse - Senior Services

Patient Account Representative

Casual position.

Summary of Job Description: Process insurance forms, verify insurance coverage, compute charges and submit bills. Answer patient questions about billing or insurance claims. Provide patient admissions coverage and pre-register patients for services as needed. Customer service at window and facility phone as needed. Admission and billing support for other departments. Handles petty cash and resident trust accounts. Maintains confidentiality. Exhibits excellent interpersonal skills, professionalism and judgment.

Qualifications: One or two years of college or technical school, and at least six to twelve months related experience.


Perioperative RNs

Part time and casual positions.

Summary of Job Description: Provides care to patients in surgical setting including direct patient care, education for patients and families, administering medications and treatments. Performs assessments and aids physician during surgery. Monitors vital signs and keeps physician apprised of patient’s condition and reactions to treatment. Performs documentation. Includes practice in the surgical suite and endoscopy room, and pre- and post-care and recovery of patient.

Qualifications: Requires a minimum of an associate's (AA) or associate of science (AS) degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school. Current Minnesota Registered Nursing License; BLS, and ACLS certifications as required by the nursing department.


Physical Therapist Assistant

Full time position.

Summary of Job Description: Provide direct patient care under the direction of a Physical Therapist. The physical therapy department services on-site long term care as well as community patients.

Qualifications: Associate’s degree from an accredited physical therapy assistant program and current state licensing required.


Registered Nurse - Senior Services

Casual position.

Summary of Job Description: Seeking a casual Registered Nurse for our Communities, a long term care facility. We believe in and practice Elder directed care in a facility with pets, gardens and friends. The Communities includes geriatric care, long term rehabilitation, memory care and skilled nursing care in a homelike setting. Position supervises LPN and nursing assistant staff and reports to the Senior Services Director of Nursing.

Qualifications include: Current Minnesota RN license, good communication skills and interest in working with seniors. Has an understanding of regulations and duties in long term care, MDS and PPS documentation.
