Summary of Job Description: Responsible for overall supervision, strategic goal-setting and budgeting for the following departments: Wellness Center, Bigfork Valley medical clinics, Chiropractor Clinic and Human Resources. Communicates effectively with providers, staff and the public, and conveys positive messages and ethical principles consistent with the mission and values of Bigfork Valley. Must be willing and able to travel for meetings.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university in related field(s); or five to seven years progressive experience preferably in healthcare or equivalent combination of education and experience. Masters Degree in related field(s) preferred. Familiarity with privacy and other legal issues in a health care setting required.
Director of Nursing - Long Term Care

Summary of Job Description: Manages employees with direct patient care in Bigfork Valley Communities, ensuring that policies and procedures are followed and revised as necessary, providing training opportunities, resolving issues and making sure that established standards of resident care are met. Ensure department’s compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Assumes additional duties in the absence of the nursing home administrator. Has a good understanding of the financial aspects of a nursing home. Exhibits good clinical and interpersonal skills with the ability to successfully lead nursing staff in providing excellent patient care.
Qualifications: Four year college or university program certificate preferred. Two to four years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Registered to practice nursing in Minnesota. Must be able to participate in continuing education to maintain licensure and to further develop professional skills as required.

Summary of Job Description: Helps to create an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest and positive daily life through meaningful activities for nursing home elders. Assists with planning, transportation and set up of activities. Good interpersonal skills, especially with elders, exhibiting respect, understanding of elders’ issues and level of functioning. Able to work independently and cooperatively within the facility’s policies and procedures. Takes direction from nursing staff in creating a safe environment.
Qualifications: Activities Assistant certification through the National Certification Council for Activity Professionals required, or willing to complete certification. Bus driver training certificate required. CNA certification required, or willing to complete training. Activities experience in a skilled-care nursing home environment preferred, or an acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience. High school diploma or GED preferred.

Supports the elder’s physical and social household environment, following the elder’s preferences. Maintains appropriate documentation and notifies nursing staff/manager of changing needs and conditions of elders. Provides restorative therapy under the leadership of therapy professionals. Follows proper infection control, sanitation and safety practices. Has good interpersonal skills, is able to deal with unexpected events, is consistently at work and on time.
Qualifications: CNA certificate or class enrollment required. Must meet all federal and state regulatory requirements to maintain certification and active registry as CNA, including 12 CEUs per year and participation in mandatory in-service and any departmental education. High school diploma or GED preferred.

Summary of Job Description: Provides care to patients in surgical setting including direct patient care, education for patients and families, administering medications and treatments. Performs assessments and aids physician during surgery. Monitors vital signs and keeps physician apprised of patient’s condition and reactions to treatment. Performs documentation. Includes practice in the surgical suite and endoscopy room, and pre- and post-care and recovery of patient.
Qualifications: Requires a minimum of an associate's (AA) or associate of science (AS) degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school. Current Minnesota Registered Nursing License; BLS, and ACLS certifications as required by the nursing department.
