Bigfork Valley has received a second national award for its excellence in hospital patient satisfaction.
At its 2012 national convention, the National Rural Health Association placed Bigfork Valley in the top 20 critical access hospitals in the country for patient experience. There are about 1,330 certified critical access hospitals within the United States. The award was determined by the hospital’s scores on the iVantage Health Analytics Hospital Strength Index.
“We are very proud of our physicians, nurses and staff for their contributions to ensure that our patients have the best possible hospital experience during their stay,” said Dan Odegaard, CEO. “Our results as a top critical access hospital for patient experience means that our community can count on us to deliver the services they need now and in the future.”
“NRHA is committed to ensuring our members have the best information to manage their hospitals,” said Brock Slabach, NRHA membership services vice president. “In this era of transparency and accountability, NRHA is pleased to recognize the accomplishments of these hospitals.” The NRHA represents 21,000 organizations and individuals, all with an interest in rural health. Earlier this year, Bigfork Valley received the Woman’s Choice Award from WomenCertified®, recognizing it as one of the 2012 America’s Best Hospitals for Patient Experience in its size category. “Women’s Choice Award recipients have demonstrated extraordinary service in meeting the needs of women and their families, and represent the smart choice for women,” said Delia Passi, CEO and founder of WomenCertified.
