April 1, 2010 BIGFORK VALLEY NEWS RELEASE Mark Rasmusson joins Bigfork Valley Surgery CenterBigfork Valley welcomes Mark Rasmusson, MPA, PA-C to its surgery center. Rasmusson will assist Dr. Daniel Baker in orthopaedic practice. Rasmusson received his physician assistant degree from the University of Wisconsin, Madison and his masters in physician assistant studies with orthopaedic specialty at the University of Nebraska, Omaha. As a physician assistant in orthopaedics Rasmusson is qualified to assist in surgeries, perform joint injections, and do casting and fracture manipulation, as well as orthopaedic consultations, education and follow up care. Rasmusson has had a long interest in emergency care, operating as a paramedic, SWAT medic and bomb squad medic in his career. He has also practiced as a respiratory therapist. Most recently Rasmusson was with the orthopaedic department at Grand Itasca in Grand Rapids. "I look forward to the opportunity to bring a team approach to our orthopaedic and total joint patients at Bigfork Valley," he said.
