BIGFORK VALLEY NEWS RELEASE Bigfork Valley Challenge Sept. 12The Bigfork Valley Challenge is Saturday, Sept. 12 - just around the corner! The Bigfork Valley Challenge will have three events this year; a half marathon, a 4.5 mile competitive run and a 3 mile walk along the scenic and winding Jingo Lake Rd. in the Chippewa National Forest. The half marathon also runs along Scenic Highway 7 and Farm Camp Rd. Registration opens at 7 a.m. in Kocian’s Family Market parking lot. The half marathon begins at 7:30 a.m. and the last shuttle to the 4.5 mile/3 mile starting lines is at 8:30 a.m. with the race start at 9 a.m. All races finish at the Highway 6 end of Jingo Lake Rd. where winners will be announced, door prizes awarded and ice cream cones, frozen yogurt and other treats served. All runners and walkers crossing the finish line will also receive a race medal. Participants return to Kocian’s by shuttle bus after the race. Runners and walkers may register up to and including race day. Preregister online HERE or pick up an entry at the visitor’s desk at Bigfork Valley.
