BIGFORK VALLEY NEWS RELEASE BIGFORK VALLEY TO HOST CONNECTING SENIORS TO SERVICESBigfork Valley will host the 2009 Connecting Seniors to Services Fair on Saturday, July 18 from 1-4 p.m. The event will be held in the lower level of the Villa during the 2009 Health Expo. Participants may enter the Villa directly and take the elevator to the lower level or visit the event as part of the Health Expo.
I live alone - How can I stay in my own home? Connecting Seniors to Services is an opportunity to answer questions like these and locating resources close to home in Itasca County. Speakers include First Call for Help, "One call, thousands of resources"; Home Visitor, "We make house calls!"; Itasca County Financial Services, Itasca County Medical Care (IM Care); Bigfork Valley Communities, "Topics on Aging Services"; and Bigfork Valley Home Care, "Home Care, What is it?" Presentations begin at 2 p.m., informational displays will be available 1-4 p.m. In addition, the Arrowhead Area Agency on Aging, Itasca County Food Shelf, Itasca County Public Health, Kootasca Community Action and Bigfork Valley clinics and Villa will provide information on services. "We are pleased to be able to bring together resource information in one place," said Ken Westman, COO and nursing home administrator at Bigfork Valley.
