BIGFORK THIRD GRADERS VISIT HOSPITAL

Dora Pierson's third grade class came to Bigfork Valley on Wednesday, May 20.

The class visited departments throughout the facility including Imaging, Laboratory, Surgery Center, Rehab, Pharmacy, Human Resources and the acute care hospital. Each department shared information on staff specialties and the type of professional training needed to work in that field. Students also visited the Scenic Rivers Health Services medical clinic and the Northland Dental office.

"We were delighted to host the third graders on their annual visit to Bigfork Valley," said Dan Odegaard, CEO. "Some of these students will provide our medical professions with their talents in the future.

"We are also looking forward to new initiatives in cooperation with Bigfork High School to increase student opportunities to become interested and serve in medical specialties."

Guides for the day included Florence Gustafson, Shirley Conrad, Alice Mellin, Betty Babcock, Midge Carlson and Laurel Laudert.
